A New Christmas List
Because gifting can be downright stressful. We put this enormous pressure on ourselves to find the “perfect gift” for everybody and it’s ridiculous.
We’re being sold to constantly. Buy more, more, more.
It’s never ending and it feels never enough.
We want to make people happy. We don’t want to disappoint.
So I love this new Christmas list. When you ask your kids what they want for Christmas – ask them to list these five things.
Want. Something they really want. This could even be the one they write their letter to Santa about.
Need. Socks. PJ’s. School supplies.
Read. A new book.
Experience.
Give. The magic one. The one that changes how you see the holidays. Ask your kids who they would like to GIVE to this year. Different than a family member or friend. Maybe it’s the Inn of the Good Shepherd. Maybe it’s another charity of choice. Maybe you could adopt a family from the Inn of the Good Shepherd. Once you think about different ways you can give back, it changes how you see the holidays. I love this idea.
