Feel Good Friday – Don’t Over-Commit Yourself

Every week the Fox teams up with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton Kent to share things you can do to take care of yourself, focus on your mental health and help you feel GOOD!       

This week – just. say.  no!

We are all guilty of overcommitting ourselves and scheduling things in our lives back-to-back or fitting too much into one day. This often keeps us from getting what we want, since we are doing too much for other people. We are often quick to dismiss our own goals but rush to help others which can lead to burnout and can affect your mental health. The good news is that you can break the pattern of overcommitting yourself! Limit the number of tasks you do during the day, give yourself time before you commit to anything, and check in with your gut and ask yourself if it is something you really want to do.

Remember to take time for self care!
