Every week The Fox teams up with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton-Kent for Feel Good Friday!

Sharing different things you can do to take care of yourself, focus on your mental health and FEEL GOOD!

Today we are talking about the importance of a bedtime routine.

“Did you know that creating a bedtime routine is one of the easiest steps you can take to get better sleep and improve mental health!”

Do you have a bedtime routine?  How do you start?

“Set activities that you perform in the same order every night, to alert your brain that those activities are a precursor to sleep. These bedtime routines can also play a very important role in reducing late-night stress and anxiety and those worrisome thoughts that often keep you up at night. By following a bedtime routine you can keep your mind focused on other tasks and encourage yourself to relax instead.

Try deciding on a set bedtime, leaving electronics alone, taking a warm bath, listening to music, stretching, deep breathing, and relaxing, practicing mediation or reading a good book.”

There’s so many things you can do each and every day to help you feel good.  Feel Good Fridays are all about encouraging you to keep doing those things every day.

Don’t forget to join the Fox Feel Good Facebook group to keep those feel good Friday vibes going all week long!  Click HERE to join today and keep the conversation going.
