FEEL GOOD FRIDAY – Authentic Conversations
Each Friday we team up with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton Kent to talk about ways to help us Feel Good in these trying times!
Today we talk about authentic conversations.
Every day we are asked “how are you,” but how many times do we provide an authentic response? Having open and honest conversations can not only have a positive impact on our own mental health but also helps to support others as well. Check in with those around you and let’s take time to get real about how we feel, and have authentic conversations. I think it is especially important to have these conversations with our kids as we prepare for back to school…even if they are excited to go back there is a lot of uncertainty, talk to them about how they are feeling.
CMHA Lambton Kent shared this Sarnia Journal article that the CEO Alan Stevenson participated in, discussing the benefit of authentic conversations, check it out! https://thesarniajournal.ca/opinio-be-gentle-with-each-other-were-doing-the-best-we-can/?fbclid=IwAR2A9P-FF6ABfVzjU9YZT6849f-tS2emSFhC-V-G33WO-QqkUwX_23Imwic
