The latest quarantine drink trend involves tea. Following the hot chocolate bomb craze, people are now making hot tea bombs. They’re made with isomalt—a clear sugar substitute that can easily be heated and poured into spherical molds. After the isomalt solidifies, tea bags or loose tea are placed in the center of the mold, and the mold is sealed. The trend sees some going all out and decorating their tea bombs with edible food coloring, crystals, flowers, and more. The new trend is having a particular moment on TikTok, where the hashtag #hotteabombs has more than 2.3 million views and counting!
