New Way To Carve Your Pumpkin This Year
I was trying not to be sad about it, but I am. This Halloween will be the first that we have no kids at home. No costumes. No trick or treating. No jack-0-lanterns. Or so I thought.
With no kids at home I’ve been trying to find the motivation to even decorate the house – which is something I have always loved doing. This whole adjusting to empty nesting thing has proven more challenging than I realized even if we aren’t fully empty nesters yet.
Our oldest daughter decided that before she goes away this year, we would pick up pumpkins for Halloween. Checked that off the list yesterday and now we have two pumpkins sitting on the steps, waiting to be turned into something scary.
Sarah Woodley mentioned this idea to me this morning. Get the squirrels to carve your pumpkins. She is going to try it and she suggested I Google it and see what it’s all about.
Well this is sure interesting and I for sure want to try this. With 10 tens til Halloween that gives the squirrels in my “hood” time to create a super spooky, scary pumpkin face just in time for the holiday.
