It’s New Kids On The Block Day!
A day that started when the band released the song “Hanging Tough” in 1989.
That same year the governor of Massachusetts declared today, April 24th, as ‘New Kids on the Block Day’.
A brand new holiday that Blockheads around Boston and around the world have been celebrating ever since. Celebrating Jonathan Knight, Joey McIntyre, Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, and Jordan Knight.
Today marks the 35th anniversary of that special day, which the band and it’s fans have turned into an annual celebration of all things New Kids. This year, as a surprise for Blockheads, the group has just released the new song, “A Love Like This,” off their new record “Still Kids” that comes out May 17. According to Joey McIntyre – the track promises to “bring all the feels,” and says the upcoming album “Still Kids” will offer a “good balance” of throwback vibes and fresh sounds. The group is excited to be hitting the road for the New Kids on the Block “magic summer 2024 tour” with special guests Paula Abdul and DJ Jazzy Jeff as well as other surprises.
