Christmas At Graceland
It’s amazing what you find when you feel like you’ve exhausted everything else. Last night, after watching my daily installment of The Young and the Restless (yes, I’m totally hooked on this soap again) and I’ve watched the latest episodes of Virgin River – I came across this special.
Christmas At Graceland. How did I not know this was a thing?
As someone who is a huge fan of Elvis Presley, and Christmas and music in general – this one I couldn’t look away from and I’m so glad I got to watch.
The talent is incredible – Post Malone, Alanis Morissette, John Legend, Cher, Dolly Parton and so many others coming together to celebrate Christmas and honour the incredible Elvis Presley.
The way they combined the music, with videos of the late King of Rock and Roll was emotional to watch. To see a few of the artists performing alongside video footage of Elvis singing the same song was amazing. I’m an emotional girl, but seeing this happen where Elvis lived, mixed in with the videos of Elvis on stage and at Graceland, with family was just beautiful to watch and I did have some tears watching.
If you haven’t watched it – it comes highly recommended. The fact that they have never done live music from Graceland before made it even more magical. To see different areas of Graceland – Alanis performed in front of Elvis’s plane. Post Malone was over the pool and surprised everyone at the end by jumping in.
Extra sad knowing that Lisa Marie is gone now too. Riley – her daughter/ Elvis’ daughter put this special together.
