Feel Good Friday Is Back!

It’s been a little while since we’ve had a “Feel Good Friday”.  We’ve been waiting.  Patiently.  Feel Good Fridays are about sharing ways to take care of yourself, focus on your mental health and help you feel GOOD!

And funny enough, today’s Feel Good Friday theme is about the importance of waiting.

Every Friday the Fox teams up with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton Kent for Feel Good Fridays to share ways to help you and your mental health.

Simple every day things to help you feel better.

Today  -it’s all about the waiting.

“Waiting may not be anyone’s favourite activity, but science and psychology tell us that if you can turn it into positive anticipation – an expectation of something good to come – anticipation can be beneficial for your brain, your emotions, and even your physical health! When you look forward to something, your brain releases feel-good hormones, which help to reinforce beneficial behaviours. Anticipation is beneficial as it generates hopeful feelings – Take a moment and picture yourself participating in an activity you enjoy. Are you planning a walk after work, getting together with friends or attending an event? The act of anticipation can do wonders for your mental health – so try it today!”
