New Music Monday – Jennifer Lopez – On My Way (Marry Me)
Would love to know what you think of the new single from J-Lo. “On My Way” comes from the soundtrack of Jennifer’s new movie “Marry Me” which is in theatres now.
The original video shared below AND – something super sweet and special Ben Affleck did for her for Valentine’s Day. Yep. His gift to Jennifer this Valentines Day? A remix of the video that he directed, using footage from their own lives to add new meaning to the lyrics. The video released on Saturday, which prompted a heartfelt message to her fans –
“Content is queen. In the spirit of that, I am going to share something very special and personal with you that normally that I would only share with my inner circle. It’s an early Valentine’s Day present from Ben. Watching it made me think about the journey of true love, it’s unexpected twists and turns, and that when it’s real, it actually can last forever. This seriously melted my heart.”
The original music video came out in December. The song recorded before she got back together with Ben. The two got together this past spring, almost twenty years after ending their engagement. In the movie Marry Me, Jennifer plays a heartbroken pop superstar who makes a spontaneous decision to marry a total stranger (played by Owen Wilson) at a concert.
Marry Me is in theatres now.
