The View From Here – I Can’t Handle This Heat – And Other Revelations
Another day, another heat warning. Some people love this weather. I am not one of them.
Isn’t it strange how some things never bothered us as kids, but the older you get the harder it is to tolerate it?
I can’t do hot weather. I can’t do amusement parks. I can’t do late nights or large crowds.
I’m not sure what happened or when exactly things changed, but it did.
You know what makes me feel young again? My Duran Duran t-shirt. (smile)
I found it a few weeks ago in a local store, and was so excited and surprised to find it. I wear it around the house a lot and recently asked my husband if I was too old to wear a band t-shirt.
Is there an age when it’s no longer cool or appropriate? I mostly wear it to bed, or when I’m trying to forget about how uncomfortable this heat is and just trying to make myself feel better.
This t-shirt reminds me of my younger days and my younger self.

An amusement park in Japan says no screaming or shouting while on rides. And maintain social distancing while in haunted houses. Could you get through a roller coaster without making a sound? Nope. Not me. And who doesn’t automatically reach out and grab someone when you’re scared?
