Sorry Directioners – no reunion YET.

Today is One Direction’s 10-year anniversary, and fans have been promised something special to celebrate.

Nope.  They aren’t getting back together.  Actually, Zayn (who left the band in March of 2015 to pursue a solo career) has been absent from today’s celebrations.  But they are celebrating with a brand new anniversary website and celebration video made especially for their fans!  Fun fact – fans were so eager to get their hands on it, they actually CRASHED the website.  Pretty impressive Directioners.

There will also be the release of new interactive playlists as well as reformatted EPs featuring B-sides and rare songs, remixes, live recordings and acoustic versions of tracks. The site will be set up as timeline charting the history of the group – from the first audition on “The X Factor” to their hiatus.  It will include an archive of music videos, artwork, TV performances, behind-the-scenes and rarely seen content, all in one place.

You will also be able to make your own shareable “mixtape” playlist on the site, which will be personalized according to how you’ve interacted with the site’s content and the years you spend time exploring. Kinda cool.

Harry Styles has celebrated One Direction’s 10th anniversary by sharing a heartfelt post to his Instagram.

‘I’ve seen things and places that I’d only ever dreamt of when I was growing up. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting and working with some of the most incredible people, and gained friendships that I know I will treasure for the rest of my life.

‘None of this would be possible without the support you’ve given along the way. And for that, I will be forever thankful. I just can’t believe it’s been ten years. Thank you to our crew, our team, and everyone else who helped us along the way.

‘To all the fans, I love you, and I thank you with all my heart. You did it all, and you changed everything. And finally.. to the boys, I love you so much, and I couldn’t be prouder of everything we achieved together. Here’s to ten. H.’

My kids have been waiting for this announcement forever and are disappointed there is no reunion.

I’ve been a fan of Harry Styles since he released this song –
