It’s A Beautiful Day In The Neighbourhood
Such memories.
Mr. Rogers Neighbourhood was one of the shows I absolutely loved when I was little. Who doesn’t remember that song? “It’s a beautiful day in the neighbourhood, a beautiful day for a neighbour – won’t you be mine, won’t you be my neighbour”.
The sweater. The shoes. That calm voice.
The mailman. The train. The castle. The puppets.
Mr. Rogers reminds me of childhood and all that was good and simple and easy.
He encouraged kindness. He modeled it.
And now his story will be shared on the big screen with Tom Hanks playing Mr. Fred Rogers, and I cannot wait for November.
