Marie Kondo and her Kondo-inspired organizing method is taking over the world. OK – maybe that seems more dramatic, but it makes for a more interesting read.
Marie Kondo changed lives everywhere with her book of organization years ago, but now she is taking over Netflix with her hit show “Tidying Up With Marie Kondo”.
Donations are up at thrift stores everywhere as people go through their “stuff” trying to find and keep only the items that “spark joy”. The rest are tossed, after making peace with them and giving proper thanks.
I will admit I attempted it. I guess for now everything I own brings me joy. The whole idea of going through our whole house seems exhausting to even attempt.
Not everyone is embracing the trend. Penn Holderness (of the Holderness Family fame) created this fun music video to share his frustrations after his wife gives in to the obsession.
