Every Friday the Fox teams up with the Canadian Mental Health Association Lambton Kent for Feel Good Friday.  Sharing things you can do to take care of yourself, focus on your mental health and help you feel good!

Today we are talking about the power of sunlight.

“We all know that the colder weather and short days can cause us to feel the winter blues – that’s why it is so important to take care of your mental health. For today’s Feel Good Friday we are talking about SUNLIGHT. Did you know that the symptoms of the winter blues can be worsened by a lack of sun exposure? So getting outside and soaking up the sun (even in winter temperatures) is critical! Being in the sunlight can help increase our melatonin production and increase our vitamin D levels, which can lead to an improved emotional state. If you cannot get outdoors, move a chair, workstation or kitchen table next to a window that gets sunlight and soak up those rays!”
