Would You Be Willing?
Would you sign up to experience life in the 40’s? 50’s? 60’s? 70’s? 80’s? 90’s?
A new show on CBC does that for one “lucky” family.
I was born in the 70’s and grew up in the 80’s. The music, the tv shows have left a life time impact. I still love 80’s music but there are a lot of things I don’t miss. Would you be willing to experience life through the decades? Changes in food? Career? Views?
‘Back In Time For Dinner’ is a new show set to debut on CBC this Thursday. It takes one Canadian family on a time-travelling journey of a lifetime. This Thursday, you can watch as The Campus Family (from Mississauga) will live through a new decade of Canadian life and all that comes with that decade. From food, to technology, to gender roles and stereotypes.
All the changes will happen in their own home. It will be like their own time-machine, transforming in front of their very eyes every week – changing to reflect a new decade. Every detail will be changed. From the curtains, to the tv, to what’s on the dinner plate.
In some episodes, the Campus family will be joined by a special celebrity guest who can share a bit about some of the trends of the decade they are remembering. Guests include Sharon and Bram of Canadian music trio Sharon, Lois and Bram, famed sportscaster Ron MacLean, fitness duo Hal Johnson and Joanne McLeod of Body Break, and fashion expert Jeanne Beker.
