  There’s a power outage scheduled in central Lambton for tomorrow morning.  Hydro One will be performing maintenance and upgrades to equipment between 5 and 8am, weather permitting.  Over 800 customers will be affected in Brigden, Petrolia to Bentpath Line and Kimball Side Road to Tile Yard Road.  That’s Wednesday morning 5am to 8am.

 Two busses loaded with local highschool students, will make the trek to Waterloo today.       They are going to participate in the 2012 Ontario Technological Skills Competition.    Caroline White, the Special Projects Teacher with the Lambton-Kent District School Board, says 6 cook apprenticeship students will take part in cooking demonstrations.

White says 11 Lambton students will compete in construction events.  The provincial skills competition wraps up Wednesday.

Here is the Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby report for Monday, April 30th

 
 Mike Howe of Sarnia is the new leader in the Walleye category with a 9.48 pound walleye.
 
 The leaders in the other categories are …
- Jim Gibson of Dorchester in the Salmon category with a 22.54 pound salmon,
- Scott Hunter of Belmont in the Trout – Boat category with 12.88 pound rainbow trout,
- David Graham of Sarnia in the Trout – Shore category with a 7.74 pound rainbow trout,
- Heather Tieman of Dashwood in the Lake Trout category with a 17.82 pound lake trout,
- Fisher Beaubien of Sarnia is the new leader in the Kids category with a 8.12 pound rainbow trout.
 
There were 44 fish entered at the Sarnia weigh station and 54 fish entered at the Port Franks weigh station for a Salmon Derby total of 510 fish entered.
 The Daily Big Fish winner is Kyle Dixon of Glencoe with a 14.82 pound salmon.
 The Daily Draw winners are Gerry Fawdry of Sarnia at the Sarnia weigh station and Gord Allen of Sarnia at the Port Franks weigh station.
 The Bluewater Anglers Salmon Derby runs until Sunday afternoon, May 6th.
