Warwick officials are in the process of developing a new Facebook page for the Township.

Mayor Todd Case says the issue came to the forefront during the snowstorm of 2010 when hundreds of motorists became stranded on highway 402.

Case says Warwick will be the first Lambton county municipality to have a Facebook page once its launched in the summer.

The Kids Help Phone Walkathon is being held today at Sarnia’s Centennial Park.

The walk will begin at 11:00 a.m. Participants can register at the Dow People Place between 9:00 and 10:00.

Author Christine Walde will be hosting a creative writing workshop for youth at the Sarnia Public Library today.

That begins at 3:00 p.m. Patricipants must pre-register by calling the library.

Sarnia-Port Huron is now on the Offshore Powerboat Association’s 2012 circuit !

International Power Boat Race organizer Dave Brown says that will put this area on the map with the race televised on network TV.

The International race on the St Clair River will be held August 10-12th.

Last August 15 to 20 thousand people attended the event, lining the downtown shoreline in both Sarnia and Port Huron.
