BioAmber Officially Welcomed
Montreal-based BioAmber has officially arrived in Sarnia-Lambton. A welcoming ceremony was held this morning at Sarnia’s Lanxess site, the future home of BioAmber’s 80 million dollar bio-succinic acid plant. BioAmber’s 17 thousand metric tonne facility will be the first of its kind in North America. It’ll make produce succinic acid from glucose which will then be used to make things like auto parts and cosmetics. President and CEO Jean-Francois Huc says Sarnia is a perfect spot to build a plant.
