Actor Will Ferrell Injured In California Car Crash

Will Ferrell was in a car accident Thursday night in California but was unhurt.  The crash left four others in the vehicle injured. They all suffered none life-threatening injuries and were taken to the hospital. Ferrell and his colleague, Andrew Steele, have since been discharged. Their injuries were described as “minor” by authorities.

However, Ferrell’s his longtime driver, Mark Thompson, and his other colleague, Carolina Barlow, remain hospitalized in stable condition, according to a statement from United Talent Agency.

“While traveling back to Los Angeles after hosting a voter registration event in San Diego, a car carrying Will Ferrell and three of his colleagues was struck on the freeway by another vehicle,” read a statement Ferrell’s representatives from United Talent Agency.

Ferrell has expressed his gratitude to the first responders who were at the scene quickly and to the hospital team that took such great care of him and the passengers.
According to the accident report, Ferrell’s vehicle was struck when another car veered into its lane. Ferrell’s SUV then struck the center divider median and eventually  flipped over.
 Ferrell appeared at a Funny or Die event in San Diego called Glam Up the Midterms. That Thursday night, he appeared as his “Anchorman” character Ron Burgundy alongside Billy Eichner, who hosted the evening.
The statement from Ferrell’s representatives added that the actor is “grateful for all the well wishes he and his friends are receiving.”
