Walk Off The Earth singer kicked off flight because of crying baby
Walk Off The Earth singer Sarah Blackwood says she was forced off a United Airlines flight yesterday because her son was crying.
The Canadian band is expected to perform tomorrow night in Vancouver and she was travelling from San Francisco to Vancouver when the incident happened.
“I was embarrassed. I was in tears,” Blackwood said. “I couldn’t believe what was happening.”
Blackwood, who is seven months pregnant, said she was sitting on United Airlines flight 6223 with her 23-month-old Giorgio and his nanny when her son starting crying and squirming.
That’s when a flight attendant apparently came over and told her to “control” her child.
“My eyes were welling up. I was apologetic,” said Blackwood.
After several minutes of taxiing, the plane turned around the returned to the gate and the flight attendant told Blackwood she would have to get off the plane, even though at that point her son was asleep.
“I couldn’t believe it. Apparently my child was some kind of threat to the airplane.”
