– The Knights stopped a 2 game slide, and with the win, pulled 3 points ahead of the Sting for 8th.

The Sting picked up back to back wins to end the weekend. Friday night they hammered the Windsor Spitfires 9-4 at the RBC Center, then doubled the Whalers in Plymouth 4-2 on Saturday night.

They host London on Thursday, then play Plymouth in a home and home, Friday and Saturday.

The OHL trade deadline is today.

Former Sarnia Sting defenseman Dalton Prout is back in the West Division as the Colts sent their Captain to Saginaw for Alex Lepkowski, Matt Ashman, and 2 3rd round picks. One in 2012, the other in 2014.

Windsor sent Eric Locke and goalie Josh Malecki to Barrie for Taylor Carnevale.

While the Colts also dealt Stephen Gaskin to Guelph for a 2nd and 4th round selection in 2012.

Stoufville winning the A Division,

In Forest, Week #1 of the 21st Annual Midget and Peewee Silverstick Tournament concluded with two Championship games decided in overtime.

The Peewee Silverstick Champs are the Indianapolis Racers, while the Bethleham Blast edged Beeton 2-1 to take the Midget Final.

Sarnia Junior Lady Sting Bantam A’s won their 4th tournament of the season, beating Stoney Creek 5-2 in YESTERDAY’s Final.

The Petrolia Oiler Minor Atom’s won the opening game of their Best of 3 OMHA Playdown series over St. Mary’s 2-1.

The Petrolia Novice Reps won their 19th game of the season 7-0 over Dresden Saturday afternoon.

The Petrolia Atom AE’s thumped Mooretown 12-0 YESTERDAY. Hunter Westgate, Logan McLinchey and Carson Feddema each scored twice.

The Minor Midget Oilers lost to Mount Brydges 3-1.

The Huron Lakers Novice Girls Basketball team, won bronze THIS WEEKEND at a basketball tournament in Brantford.

       At the Sarnia Golf and Curling Club, Mathew Camm and his Ottawa Curling Club rink came-from-behind to beat Michael Bryson’s Toronto rink 7-5 to finish the Ontario Junior Men’s Curling Championships undefeated at 8-0 and win the right to represent the Province at the Canadian Champions in Calgary later this month.

    While on the Ladies side, two Granite Club rinks from Kitchener-Waterloo faced off, with Clancy Grandy beating Jasmin Thurston 6-5 to win the Final.
