We Really Do Have Too Much Stuff
I’ve seen a lot lately about minimalism. A growing trend? Maybe.
Sociologist Bernie Karganilla from the University of the Philippines Manila defines minimalism as “voluntary simplicity.”
According to The Minimalists website
“Minimalism is a lifestyle that helps people question what things add value to their lives. By clearing the clutter from life’s path, we can all make room for the most important aspects of life: health, relationships, passion, growth, and contribution.
“.. Even though everyone embraces minimalism differently, each path leads to the same place: a life with more time, more money, and more freedom to live a more meaningful life.”
I have seen “Clear the Clutter” minimalist challenges on social media and have watched a number of videos about the process.
Do you think you have too much “stuff”? Do we hold on to things we don’t need? Do you have trouble letting go of things?
I admit I have trouble letting go of things that hold memories to me no matter how old.
Are you up for the challenge of letting go of some things?
