The Most Popular Tweets of 2017

Twitter has revealed the most popular tweets of 2017 and it looks like former President Barack Obama holds most of them.

16-year-old Carter Wilkerson nabbed the top spot with not just the most retweeted tweet of 2017, but the most retweeted tweet of all time — by simply asking Wendy’s for a year’s supply of free chicken nuggets. I have to wonder, did he ever get the free nuggets?

This one was a close second.

This broke hearts everywhere. After a terrorist attack in Manchester, England, killed 22 people attending an Ariana Grande concert, the pop star used Twitter to voice her feelings.

 

Classy as always – Barack Obama

And the most liked tweet of 2017 (as well as the second most retweeted) was Obama’s message after the Charlottesville march, which has received more than 4.5 million individual likes so far.
