Sometimes We Need To Lose The Jokes.

I admire Jon Stewart.

He is not afraid to speak up.  He’s not afraid to speak truth to his audience for fear of rejection or lost ratings.

The shootings in South Carolina.  The young “kid” who took so many lives because of his hatred.   Hatred which is learned.  You aren’t born hating others.  According to a report I read today, the suspected gunman (who killed nine people at a historic black church in Charleston, South Carolina)  told police he “almost didn’t go through” with the shooting “because everyone was so nice” to him.  NBC News reported that ultimately Dylann Roof decided he had to “go through with his mission,”.  Unreal to me.  The world we live in.

So I’ll use another blog to share some funny video.  But this one deserves to be shared because it matters.  Because people matter.

Now if you’re still following along….

Here’s another story making headlines today that has absolutely broken my heart.   A 16 year old committed suicide in an attempt to end bullying.  He had Asperger’s syndrome and in a note he left behind, Kennedy LeRoy wrote:  “One of the biggest reasons why I killed myself is to prevent more suicides,”.
