Jordan Spieth just won the Masters.  21 years old and he smashed records this weekend. His 18-under-par score tied the Augusta National course record, and gave him a $1.8 million dollar paycheck.  Not too bad.

He became the second-youngest player to win at Augusta, behind only Tiger Woods’ in 1997.  He also beat Phil Mickelson’s Masters record of 26 birdies for the week. Impressive.

People love this kid, going so far as to say he is the hero that the world of golf needs.  He could help rehabilitate the image of golf, and get fans watching again.  It’s been 10 years since Tiger won the Masters, and a few years since Tiger’s demise if you will.  So there is a lot of hope and anticipation with this young golfer.  And his big win this weekend, could possibly bring in $5 million to $10 million a year in endorsement deals.  Pretty impressive.

Before the Masters, only about 9% Americans even knew who he was, according to the Q Score Company, which measures celebrity popularity. But his win this weekend undoubtedly changed that.

But this is what matters more than anything else to him.  Watch.
