I just found something amazing.  A way to make your own Shamrock Shake. They only come around once a year and they are delicious and I seriously develop the biggest cravings for them.

Now you can make your own.  I found this recipe online.  Will you try to make it yourself?

Shamrock Shake
Makes: 2 servings
Active Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

1 cup vanilla ice cream

1 cup milk (any fat percentage)

1/2 teaspoon mint extract

1 squirt green food coloring

Whipped cream, for garnish

2 maraschino cherries, for garnish

Blend the ice cream, milk, mint extract and food coloring together in a blender until smooth.

Pour into 2 16-ounce glasses and garnish each with a squirt of whipped cream and a maraschino cherry. Serve immediately.

 

Shamrock Smoothie
Makes: 2 servings
Active Time: 5 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes

1 cup vanilla coconut milk beverage or coconut milk ice cream (see cooks’ note, below)

1 6-ounce container (2/3 cup) Greek yogurt (any fat percentage)

2-3 teaspoons agave nectar, or to taste

1/4 teaspoon mint extract (optional)

1 cup (3 ounces) frozen cut spinach

1/4 cup fresh mint leaves

Add the ingredients in the order listed to a high-powered blender. Blend until the spinach and mint are completely pureed, increasing the speed from low to medium-high as the greens are incorporated.

Pour into 2 16-ounce glasses and serve immediately.
