The Bluewater Community Alerting Network is officially being launched today, a joint initiative between Lambton’s St. Clair Township and St. Clair County in Michigan. The Network will make use of the US-Based Alert FM system, delivering emergency notifications, and alerts to the public, emergency responders, schools, public officials, and cross-border emergency managers. Radio stations in the Port Huron area and Blackburn Radio Sarnia-Lambton have provided transmission facilities for the new system. The home receivers are selling for 10 dollars and can be purchased at the St. Clair Township Emergency Services Building, Civic Centre, or Corunna Home Hardware.
